internationalSPORTgroup, promoters of the ROWE British Grand Prix, have appointed World Squash Media Director Howard Harding as Press Officer of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour Super Series event which will take place in Manchester from 15-20 September.

The ROWE British Grand Prix – Manchester 2010, the only PSA Super Series ranking event to be staged in the UK this year, will be held at the National Squash Centre in Sportcity and will offer the largest prize fund of any World Tour ranking event in Europe to attract the world's top players, who are likely to be led by England's new World No1 Nick Matthew.

In his position as on-site Press Officer, Howard Harding will post daily reports from the event onto the event's official website, which will be the focus for all event media activity.

Harding, the World Media Director for the Professional Squash Association (PSA), the World Squash Federation (WSF) and the Women's International Squash Players' Association (WISPA) since 1996, will work closely with the championship’s Event & Media Manager Peter Schmidl.

“The ROWE British Grand Prix promises to be one of the biggest and best championships on the World Tour this year and the appointment of Howard Harding as Press Officer is a major boost for the event as we try and expand the media coverage in the lead-up and during the championships,“ said Peter Schmidl.

As one of ten PSA Super Series 2010 events, the ROWE British Grand Prix establishes Manchester alongside other major squash destinations including New York, New Delhi, Cairo, Canberra, Hong Kong, Kuwait City, Doha and Dammam (Saudi Arabia).
