Egyptian teenager Heba El Torky progressed two rounds beyond her seeding in the inaugural Women's Homebase Media Open before taking out the favourite to win the $8,000 WISPA World Tour squash event at the Hong Kong Sports Institute in Hong Kong.

The fifth seed made her breakthrough in the quarter-finals with a four-game win over Chinatsu Matsui, the fourth seed from Japan - then despatched local contender Joey Chan, the second seed, in the semis to make the final.

Here the 19-year-old from Alexandria faced Hong Kong's experienced Rebecca Chiu - but El Torky battled for four games to defeat the top seed 11-8, 1-11, 11-4, 13-11 to win the title.

It was a notable hat-trick for the up-and-coming Egyptian who has now secured three WISPA Tour titles from three final appearances.
