Farrukh Sets Up Karachi Clash With Cousin

Unseeded Pakistani Farrukh Zaman continued his giant-killing run in the CNS International Squash Championship with a straight games upset of fifth-seeded Egyptian Mohammad Abbas in the quarter-finals of the $25,000 PSA Tour event in Karachi, Pakistan.

The 20-year-old from Peshawar reached the last eight after dismissing France's Renan Lavigne, the fourth seed, in the opening round.  It then took Farrukh just 37 minutes to dispose of Abbas 15-6 15-14 15-8 to set up a semi-final clash with his cousin Mansoor Zaman.

Second seed Mansoor, the 23-year-old world No15 who is also from Peshawar, overcame another Egyptian - beating unseeded Hisham Moh'd Ashour 15-8 15-9 15-9 in just 24 minutes.

The other semi-final will be between French favourite Gregory Gaultier and England's third seed Adrian Grant, both of whom ended the impressive runs of local qualifiers.

Gaultier beat Yasir Butt 15-7 15-12 15-12 - while Grant, who raced to Karachi after competing in the US Open in Boston, overcame first round hero Farhan Mehboob, the 15-year-old who removed sixth seed Nick Matthew, 15-13 15-3 15-7.
