Evans Captures Qatar Title

The decision by former British Open champion David Evans to forego the 2003 event, which gets underway in Nottingham today (Wednesday), proved fruitful when the Welshman captured the Qatar Squash Circuit Event No4 title in the country's capital Doha.

The top seed from Pontypool reached the final without conceding a game, but needed four games to overcome Egypt's No2 seed Mohamed Essam Hafiz 15-10 15-12 5-15 15-11 in 47 minutes.
