Grinhams Rise In November World Rankings

While the top two positions remain unchanged in the November Women's World Squash Rankings, announced today (2 November) by the Women's International Squash Players' Association (WISPA), Australian sisters Rachael & Natalie Grinham celebrate significant rises in the new list.

Rachael, the Cairo-based Queenslander who claimed the biggest title of her career last month when she won the British Open, moves up to a career-equalling best No3, behind New Zealand's world No1 Carol Owens and No2 Natalie Grainger, of the USA.

But Natalie Grinham's quarter-final berth in the British Open, followed by her US Open semi-final finish against the seedings, takes the 25-year-old from Toowoomba to a career-high No7.

Cassie Jackman resumes her position as the highest-ranked Englishwoman in the new list by moving two places to No4 after winning the US Open title in October for a fourth time.

Her compatriot Vicky Botwright also celebrates a best-ever ranking:  The 26-year-old from Manchester, who was the only unseeded player to reach the last eight of the British Open, rises two positions to No11.

The biggest jump in the top twenty was achieved by England's Jenny Duncalf, the 20-year-old former European Junior Champion from Harrogate in Yorkshire who makes her debut in the top twenty.  After knocking world No2 Natalie Grainger out of the US Open, then claiming her maiden title on the WISPA World Tour last week when she won the USA's Atlanta Masters as the sixth seed, Duncalf celebrates a six-place leap to No16.

Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu also marks a career-best placing in the new list, at 17.
