Iskandar Wears Down Weary Walker

England's Chris Walker, at 36 the oldest player in the world's top 40, was beaten in the final of the Betteridge Squash Trophy in Mamaroneck, USA, by Malaysia's top seed Mohammed Azlan Iskandar in straight games.

Clearly feeling the effects of his five-game quarter-final clash against compatriot Alex Stait, the US-based world No35 from Colchester in Essex led 12-11 in the first game, but was overtaken by the 21-year-old Malaysian who went 1/0 up after just 13 minutes.

Azlan kept the pressure on Walker in the second and third games, but despite calls from his loyal supporters for Walker to make another famous comeback, the veteran former British Open finalist - playing in his first PSA Tour event for nine months - was unable to respond as Iskandar claimed his 15-13 15-8 15-7 victory in 35 minutes.

Iskandar, the world No31 from Sarawak, is celebrating his second PSA title in his fourth final this year.
