The former Asian Junior Champion beat sixth-seeded Australian Cameron Pilley 17-14 17-15 17-14 to earn a clash with top-seeded Dutchman Tommy Berden, who needed five games to overcome Australian Michael Corren 8-15 15-13 15-3 11-15 15-10. The women's final will also feature the top two seeds after New Zealand favourite Carol Owens beat Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu 9-4 9-6 9-7 and second-seeded Australian Natalie Grinham reached her third WISPSA World Tour final this year with a 9-1 9-2 9-1 victory over Malaysian Sharon Wee.
