Cassie Jackman Heads Grand Prix Standings

England's world No1 Cassie Jackman heads the latest Qatar Airways WISPA World Grand Prix standings, published today (Thursday) by the Women's International Squash Players' Association after the first two WISPA Grand Prix events of 2004.

With Australia's Rachael Grinham at two and Vanessa Atkinson, of the Netherlands, in third place, the trio have opened up a large gap between themselves and the rest of the field.

Atkinson, who won last month's Qatar Airways Challenge in Doha, is just behind January's Kuwait Open champion Rachael Grinham, while Jackman - runner-up in both events - has more than a hundred-point lead at the top of the list.

Although England's evergreen Fiona Geaves has moved up to four after a strong performance in Doha, there is ample time for a number of newer names such as Egyptian Omneya Abdel Kawy, France's Isabelle Stoehr, New Zealander Shelley Kitchen and Malaysia's Nicol David to make a charge up the list.

Their next chance will come at the Texas Open, which will take place in Houston from 1-4 April.
