Colombian Bernardo Samper celebrated his third PSA World Tour squash title of the year in the USA when he upset top-seeded Australian Scott Arnold in the final of the $6,000 Betty Griffin Memorial Florida State Open at Life Time Athletic Club in Boca Raton, Florida.

The 27-year-old second seed from Bogota was fully stretched in the semi-finals before beating Malta's third seed Bradley Hindle 11-4, 11-9, 4-11, 8-11, 11-6 in 73 minutes.

But the final was a more straightforward affair as New York-based Samper cruised to an 11-8, 11-3, 11-6 win over his Sydney-born opponent in 38 minutes.
