Czech number one Jan Koukal successfully retained his PSA Imet Open title when he beat surprise English opponent Joel Hinds in the final of the $3,000 PSA World Tour squash event at Imet Squash Club in the Slovakian capital Bratislava.

Top seed Koukal, the world No56 from Prague, dropped only one game en-route to the 15th Tour final of his career.

Hinds achieved the same - but the No7 seed did so after upsetting Austria's second seed Aqeel Rehman in the quarter-finals, then third-seeded Czech Lukas Jelinek in straight games in the semis.

But 26-year-old Koukal was in control in the final, beating Hinds 11-4, 6-11, 11-8, 11-4 to collect his second successive Tour title in the month - following his hometown success in the Prague Open a week earlier.

The title triumph takes Koukal's career PSA title haul to 11, and extends his 100% record in 2009 finals to three!
