A quintet of cousins - all nephews of the legendary Jansher Khan - claimed places in the quarter-finals of the PSF-CAA Pakistan International Circuit No2 after successes in today's (Tuesday) opening round of the $12,000 PSA World Tour squash event at the Mushaf Squash Complex in the Pakistan capital Islamabad.

It was wild card Waqas Mehboob who stole the headlines after upsetting third seed Yasir Butt. The 18-year-old from Peshawar came from 2/1 down to beat Butt, ranked 63 in the world, 11-2, 9-11, 11-13, 11-9, 11-9 in 52 minutes.

Mehboob, ranked over 300 places lower than Butt, now faces Aqib Hanif, the seventh seed who beat qualifier Hamza Bukhari 11-7, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4.

Meanwhile Waqar Mehboob and Farhan Mehboob also made it through to the last eight - fourth seed Waqar beating qualifier Aurangzeb Mehmund 11-8, 11-1, 11-8, and second seed Farhan taking out qualifier Safeer Ullah Khan 12-10, 4-11, 12-10, 11-5.

But the three Mehboobs did better than their Khan cousins! Brothers Aamir Atlas Khan and Danish Atlas Khan fought out successful first round matches to earn a tilt at each other.

Top seed Aamir, the world No22 from Peshawar, eased to an 11-8, 12-10, 12-10 victory in just 28 minutes over Muhammad Saqib Yousaf, while sixth seed Danish need 45 minutes to overcome compatriot Owais Khan 11-4, 11-4, 9-11, 11-6.

The result will be the first Tour meeting between 19-year-old Aamir and his 16-year-old sibling.
