Without dropping a game throughout the tournament, England's Emma Beddoes romped to success in the inaugural Women's Hamptons Open after beating fellow countrywoman Suzie Pierrepont in the final of the $8,000 WISPA World Tour event at Southampton Town Recreation Center in Southampton in the US state of New York.
In the semi-finals, top seed Beddoes crushed fourth-seeded Canadian Stephanie Edmison 11-2, 11-0, 11-3 to reach the ninth Tour final of her career.
In the other semi, US-based second seed Pierrepont had to recover from a game down to overcome promising US junior Olivia Blatchford, the No3 seed.
But Beddoes, the 24-year-old world No33 from Nottingham, was in command throughout the final - beating Pierrepont 11-4, 11-6, 11-3 to claim the fourth Tour title of her career.
