Mohd Ali Anwar Reda marked up the tenth Tour title of his brief career at the Jena Real Estates Open No2 in Kuwait - but the top seed from Egypt had to fight off still opposition from both fellow countrymen and local players before winning the $15,000 PSA World Tour squash title at the Qadsia Sporting Club in Hawally.

The world No28 from Cairo was taken to five games by unseeded Abdullah Almezayen in the quarter-finals before beating the Kuwaiti number one, ranked more than 70 places lower, 8-11, 11-8, 11-3, 5-11, 11-3.

It took four games for 21-year-old Reda to overcome seventh-seeded compatriot Andrew Wagih Shoukry in the semi-finals before he faced unseeded Egyptian Ali Farag - also from Cairo - in the final.

Teenager Farag was making his PSA Tour final debut - but the 18-year-old extended Reda to five games before the favourite finally emerged triumphant 11-2, 8-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-3 after 63 minutes.
