Mexican Open Hails Double Dutch Final

The final of the Women's Sports World Mexican Open Squash Championship will be an all-Dutch affair after Netherlands players Vanessa Atkinson, the top seed, and Annelize Naude, the seventh seed, triumphed in the semi-finals in Mexico City.

Naude ended the brave run of Pakistan's Carla Khan - though was stretched to five games by the English-born sixth seed who despatched the No2 seed Jenny Duncalf in the previous round.

Naude led 2/0, but Khan fought back to force the match into a fifth game decider.  The 27-year-old from Amsterdam maintained her focus, however, and romped to a 9-1 9-4 4-9 5-9 9-2 victory to reach her third WISPA World Tour final of the year.

Atkinson was in commanding form as she swept to her third successive straight games win the event, beating Scotland's fourth seed Pamela Nimmo 9-3 9-5 9-0.

Atkinson, 28, from The Hague, is one win away from her fourth WISPA title this year.
