WORLD SQUASH NEWS RESULTS: Swiss Open Squash Championships, Geneva, Switzerland Men's final: [Q] Stefan Leifels (GER) bt Constantino Casas (ESP) 15-10, 15-11, 15-9 Women's final: [1] Suzanne Horner (ENG) bt [3] Laura Lengthorn (ENG) 9-2, 9-6, 9-0 Horner & Leifels Win Swiss Open Titles While England's Suzanne Horner, the top seed, claimed the women's title in the 30th Swiss Open Squash Championships in Geneva, the men's trophy went to German qualifier Stefan Leifels. Horner, from Yorkshire, ended compatriot Laura-Jane Lengthorn's brave run in the event by defeating the 19-year-old third seed and twice British Junior champion from Lancashire 9-2 9-6 9-0. It was Horner's first WISPA World Tour title success since celebrating her 40th birthday last month, and the 24th of her career after claiming her first, the North of England Open, in 1988. Stefan Leifels also made his mark in the squash record books by becoming the first German to win a PSA Tour title for six years. Leifels made his breakthrough in Geneva when he beat top seeded Australian Raj Nanda in the semi-finals. In the final, he defeated unseeded Spaniard Constantino Casas 15-10 15-11 15-9 to claim his second Swiss Open title after first winning the trophy in 1995.
