The four-day competition featuring the world's top players will be staged on WISPA's spectacular all-glass showcourt at the Plaza of the Americas Atrium Ice Rink in Dallas. Hong Kong's Asian Games champion Rebecca Chiu earned an unexpected place in the first round of the $45,000 event after overcoming Scotland's world No14 Pamela Nimmo 6-9 9-3 9-6 6-9 9-2 in the final qualifying round. England's world No4 Tania Bailey makes a welcome return to the WISPA World Tour after fighting off a mystery virus which caused her to retire after two games in the semi-finals of the Tournament of Champions in New York in February. Seeded six, the former world junior champion from Lincolnshire is due to face Australia's fourth seed Rachael Grinham, whom she beat in New York, in the quarter-finals. However, Bailey will first have to beat Rachael's younger sister Natalie Grinham, the world No9, whom she meets in the first round.
