Top seed Rachael Grinham triumphed in the final of the Women's Texas Open to win the WISPA World Tour Silver 30 squash event at Downtown YMCA in Dallas for the second time since 2004.

It was after beating her younger sister Natalie Grinham in the quarter-finals that Rachael went on to meet second seed Kasey Brown in the first all-Australian final in the event's ten-year history.

Both finalists had prevailed in five-game semi-finals - and in both cases had to recover from two-game deficits.

But it was Grinham, the former world number one and world champion from Queensland, who came out stronger in the climax. The 34-year-old world No4 maintained her career unbeaten run against Brown, beating the world No6 from New South Wales 11-5, 10-12, 12-10, 11-7.

"The Texas Open is one of our favourite tournaments and we really enjoy the hospitality that we experience while here, every time," said Grinham after her seventh Texas Open appearance since the inaugural championship in 2002.

The win marks Grinham's first WISPA Tour title of the year - but the 31st of her career.
