Ricketts, the 23-year-old world No7 from Brisbane, set off at a blistering pace to take the first game. Unforced errors by Ricketts in the second allowed the world number six-ranked Frenchman to level in the second, then move ahead after the third. The Australian began to take a more measured approach to the match as he restored his advantage in the fourth - and after two hours of a blistering climax to the PSA Tour event in Dayton, Ricketts clinched his 15-12 12-15 11-15 15-7 15-11 victory. "Having just agreed new racket, footwear, clothing and string deals on the eve of this tournament, it was a real thrill to come away with the title against the odds," said the Dayton champion on his new website www.AnthonyRicketts.com.
