Beddoes Bombs While Brown Suffers In Cairo World Juniors

Two seeds fell in the third round of the Women's World Junior Squash Championships in Cairo while Australia's No2 seed Kasey Brown was taken the full distance before she made the last sixteen after 69 gruelling minutes.

With five seeds already through to the fourth round, hosts Egypt celebrated a sixth player when unseeded Hend Osama upset New Zealand's 9/16 seed Catherine McLeod 9-3 9-6 10-8 in 40 minutes.  Osama will now face India's Vaidehi Reddy, who caused the biggest upset of the day with a 9-7 9-4 2-9 9-6 dismissal of England's 5/8 seed Emma Beddoes, a former British U15 National Champion.

Brown lost the opening game to Malaysia's Lim Yoke Wah, but finally survived 6-9 9-2 9-5 2-9 9-5 to reach a fourth round appointment with Egypt's 9/16 seed Nehal Yehia, who took four games to defeat England's 15-year-old Rachel Willmott, the reigning British U15 and U17 champion.
