Bianchetti Beats Defending Swiss Open Champion Leifels

German National champion Stefan Leifels failed in his bid to retain the Swiss Open Squash Championships title when he was beaten 15-8 15-8 15-2 in the second round by Italy's top seed Davide Bianchetti in the 31st staging of the popular event in Geneva.

While the top eight seeds are safely through to the quarter-finals of the men's event, there were two adjacent upsets in the women's first round when Belgian qualifier Charlie de Rycke ousted England's third seed Vicky Lankester and Orla Noom, from the Netherlands, ousted fifth-seeded Egyptian Amnah El Trabolsy.
