In an all-English final between the event's top two seeds, Shaun le Roux emerged triumphant after an hour to win the Madison Open, the $6,000 PSA World Tour squash event in its second year at the Madison Squash Workshop in Madison in the US state of Wisconsin.

Le Roux and second seed Eddie Charlton had both survived bruising 90-minute semi-finals - favourite Le Roux defeating Malaysia's fourth seed Kamran Khan in four games and Charlton, from Nottingham overcoming third-seeded compatriot Jaymie Haycocks in five games.

And Charlton took the opening game in the final before Yorkshireman Le Roux, the 24-year-old world No80 from Castleford, came back to win 7-11, 11-6, 11-3, 4-11, 11-3.

The title victory makes up for Le Roux's runners-up finish in the Leinster Open in Ireland only three weeks ago, and takes the Englishman's Tour title total to three over the last three years.
