Aziz Rocks Rockhampton Draw

While the women's quarter-finals went according to the seedings, there was a significant upset in the last eight of the men's event in the Queensland Open Squash Championships in Rockhampton, Australia, when Egyptian qualifier El Iraky Omar Abd El Aziz knocked out second seed Peter Hughes.

Runner-up in last year's event, Canberra-born Hughes went down 15-10 15-5 15-9 to the 20-year-old from Cairo - who now faces another Australian, third seed Aaron Frankcomb, for a place in the final.
